After the First Trip to Fruita

The first trip went mostly without incident. The part about me losing my left contact lens, the one for near vision doesn't count. I came home with more knowledge about what works and what needed done to the trailer. The rolling stock, hitch, basic electrics all worked fine. The new cooler is great. The stove and grill worked as they have in the past. I didn't get to run the propane campfire, but we gave it some good tests at home. What needed more work was the charging, battery and solar systems.

The battery on the left and the charger were added the morning of the first trip. The solar controller on the right, nestled in with wires for the solar panel on the right are more recent.

I also needed to get some tie-downs in the galley to hold things steady.

The big stuff in the galley needs to be held in place or it will (did) bash the inside of the door. The Yeti cooler now has a strap to hold it to it's sliding tray. The tray is held in place by a pin on it's left side, and that pin is now held in place by a small bungie from the stove's tray. There's a bungie holding the stove to the tray, and as for the yeti, a small bungie to hold it's pin in place. Below the stove is a propane fired campfire and a grill held in place by a yellow bungie cord. The cord hangs onto some tie downs like the ones used to hold the green tub above in place. You can see the lower blue bungie cord hook into one on the right.
